Bellringer: Addition of Waves
In this activity, students study the net waveforms produced when transverse sinusoidal waves are added. First, they study the effects of varying wavelength and amplitude on the shape of the wave. |

Next, they vary the amplitudes and frequencies of two waves and observe the effects on the net waveform. |

Finally, they change the offset of the two waves by various multiples of pi and observe the effects on the net waveform. |
